Born in 1936, the son of the well-known artist, Edward Bawden, R.A. Richard studied painting, printmaking and graphic design at Chelsea, St Martin's and the Royal College of Art. His subject matter is wide ranging, from his Hadleigh sitting room, cats, gardens, townscapes and landscapes.
